Due to technical issues Pima Schools is only able to run four bus routes. We expect to have the issue resolved by the end of next week (8/19). Students who normally ride the Blue Bus will leave about a half hour late in the afternoon. Thank you for your patience.

Hi y'all! I'm Mrs. Gibson, and I'm a new teacher for Pima Elementary Schools, so I'd like to introduce myself. I grew up in Arizona, but I have been away for some time-way too long. We moved to Pima last year because we love the Gila Valley. I have been working in schools for over ten years, and I am excited to teach science to the fifth graders this year. I love spending time with my family-my husband, daughters and my little dog Mella. My interests include reading, volleyball, eating delicious food, shopping, and of course-science. GO ROUGHRIDERS!

Hey everyone! My name is Kelley Nelson and I am so excited to be returning to Pima Elementary as your 5th grade Math teacher! After 5 years in another district it’s good to be home! I have a bachelor’s from NAU and I am also a Master IEP Coach. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 22 years and have 3 amazing sons and a future daughter in law that we love! In my spare time you can find me in the cockpit of an airplane or hauling my horses down the road to a barrel race. I can’t wait for school to start, it’s going to be a great year! Thanks in advance for sharing your kiddos with me!

Hello there! I was asked to share a little bit about me since I will be a new teacher at Pima this year! My name is Mckyla Bartlett and I will be teaching Algebra 1 and 2 at Pima High School. I graduated from Pima High School so to be teaching in the same classes I was learning in is definitely an amazing experience. I am currently still finishing my degree in Secondary Education with only about a year left in my degree. I have been in the Gila Valley my whole life but Pima has always been home. I have been a substitute teacher for the past 3 years at Pima Schools. I am very excited to be able to teach your kids how amazing math can be and will teach my students how to fall in love with it as much as I have. I'm so excited to have your kids in my class and I can't wait to get this school year started! It's GREAT to be a Roughrider!!

Roughrider "Grins & Giggles" Summer Reading Program
We are excited to be able to offer our 5th-12th graders the special opportunity of having Kacey McCallister speak directly to them at our schools April 25. This is such a great opportunity for our youth to learn more about how to persevere. We still encourage families to attend that evening at EAC if possible.
