Our district is committed to maintaining a safe and prepared learning environment for all students and staff. As part of this commitment, we have adopted the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) from the “I Love U Guys” Foundation as our district-wide emergency response plan.

The Standard Response Protocol provides a clear, consistent set of actions used during different types of emergency situations. Using a common language helps staff and students respond quickly and effectively during drills or real emergencies.

Throughout the year, students and staff will participate in drills related to the five SRP actions: Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter. To help you better understand these procedures, we are linking information (English Version / Spanish Version) that explains each type of response and what it means for students during a drill or emergency.

Our first Lockdown Drill using the Standard Response Protocol will take place on March 12. Staff will review procedures with students ahead of time so they understand what to expect and how to respond appropriately.

Our goal is to ensure that everyone in our school community understands the procedures and feels confident in how we respond to different situations. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the school office.

Thank you for your continued support in helping us keep our schools safe.
