Substitute Teaching

All applicants must have:

  • Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP)

  • Teaching or Substitute Certificate

  • An application & resume

  • Employment paperwork

Fingerprint Clearance Card

Before applying for any certificate, you will need to obtain an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card. If you do not already have one, click the links for more instructions.

Emergency Substitute Certificate

An Emergency Substitute Certificate (ESC) enables you to obtain a certificate with a High School Diploma, GED, or an Associate's Degree. After obtaining your Fingerprint Card, you can then begin applying for your ESC. All applications must have a form signed by Superintendent, Sean Rickert, in order for your application to be processed successfully. Please fill out the Google form to request this.

Substitute Certificate

A standard Substitute Certificate requires you to have a current Bachelor's degree. After obtaining your Fingerprint Card, you can then begin applying for your Substitute Certificate.
